The Elf Witch by Jacquelyn Gilmore

This book really surprised me. It was something I wasn’t expecting, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I love a dark fantasy story with characters who are not exclusively good or bad, and The Elf Witch delivered perfectly.

The FMC Imani is very complex; she is strong even though she’s been treated like the opposite all her life. She is full of revenge, and with her character development, we learn more about the magic system in this very dark world.

I loved the idea of a “love triangle” that wasn’t very defined. Each prince had motives and secrets to hide from Imani, so I’m excited to find out what happens in the rest of the series.

The twists and turns towards the end really left me in shock, I can’t believe that ending, and that I have to wait to find out what is going to happen in book 2 of the Plot of the Six Saints Series. Thank you so much, Jacquelyn Gilmore, for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

Este libro realmente me sorprendió. Era algo que no esperaba y estoy increíblemente agradecida por eso. Me encantan las historias de fantasía oscura con personajes que no son exclusivamente buenos o malos, y The Elf Witch lo logró a la perfección.

La protagonista femenina Imani es muy compleja; es fuerte a pesar de que la han tratado como lo opuesto toda su vida. Está llena de venganza y, con el desarrollo de su personaje, aprendemos más sobre el sistema mágico en este mundo tan oscuro.

Me encantó la idea de un “triángulo amoroso” que no estaba muy definido. Cada príncipe tenía motivos y secretos que ocultarle a Imani, así que estoy emocionada por descubrir qué sucede en el resto de la serie.

Los giros y vueltas hacia el final realmente me dejaron en shock, no puedo creer ese final y tengo que esperar para descubrir qué sucederá en el libro 2 de la serie Plot of the Six Saints. Muchas gracias, Jacquelyn Gilmore, por la oportunidad de leer esto como un ARC.
