Empire of Flame and Thorns by Marion Blackwood

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Marion Blackwood’s books, so I knew that this new series was going to be amazing. Marion started the Flame and Thorns series with a bang, this book was so good, the world building is explained so beautifully, that you can actually imagine every little detail that is described.

The concept of Dragon Shifters v/s Dragon Riders is super intriguing, the whole history behind the current situation of the realm is original and intense.

The FMC is fierce, she knows she is powerful and she has trained her powers over time to achieve her dreams, but she is constantly plagued by the resentment that everyone around her feels because of her type of magic. The growth of her character is beautiful, she keeps being herself but just becomes more confident.

In true Marion style, between the tension and dangerous action of the Trials, there is a wonderful sense of humor hidden that I loved, specially the banter between the MC’s. The relationship between Selena and Draven is amazing, true enemies-to-lovers with a sizzling chemistry, and the level of spice was perfection.

I know that Draven is hiding so much!! And Marion didn’t gave any detail, leaving me so impatient for book 2.

Marion comenzó la serie Flame and Thorns con fuerza, este libro fue tan bueno, la construcción del mundo está tan bellamente explicada que puedes imaginar cada pequeño detalle que se describe. El concepto de Dragon Shifters v/s Dragon Riders es súper intrigante, toda la historia detrás de la situación actual del reino es original e intensa. La FMC es feroz, se sabe poderosa y ha entrenado sus poderes a lo largo del tiempo para lograr sus sueños, pero constantemente la acosa el resentimiento que todos a su alrededor sienten por su tipo de magia. El crecimiento de su personaje es hermoso, sigue siendo ella misma pero se vuelve más segura. Al más puro estilo Marion, entre la tensión y la acción peligrosa de las Pruebas, se esconde un maravilloso sentido del humor que me encantó, especialmente las bromas entre los MC. La relación entre Selena y Draven es asombrosa, verdaderos enemigos a amantes con una química candente, y el nivel de picante era perfecto. ¡¡Sé que Draven se esconde tanto!! Y Marion no dio ningún detalle, dejándome muy impaciente por el libro 2. ¡¡Muchas gracias por esta copia avanzada!!
