A House of Cloaks & Daggers by Loren Little

What an amazing way to start February! This book was great. Its interesting take on the “Portal Fantasy” concept got me completely hooked, and I couldn’t put it down. The characters are so entertaining, and the whole world is easy to follow.
The chemistry between the MCs was incredibly good. I don’t want to comment on many of the characters’ relationships because I would eventually spoil the whole thing, and the surprise factor is really important for the plot.
Aura is a very strong FMC. Sometimes, she can be very wary of her surroundings, but she’s literally going through a lot and discovering secrets about herself and her family that will change everything. She grows consistently throughout the story, taking charge of her current situation.
I often ask myself why do I start an unfinished series, but in this case, the waiting is definitely worth it. I gasped out loud with that ending, so I know book 2 can’t come soon enough. Thank you, Loren, for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

ยกQuรฉ manera tan increรญble de empezar febrero! Este libro fue genial. Su interesante versiรณn del concepto “Portal Fantasy” me enganchรณ por completo y no pude dejarlo. Los personajes son muy entretenidos y el mundo entero es fรกcil de seguir.
La quรญmica entre los MC fue increรญblemente buena. No quiero comentar muchas de las relaciones de los personajes porque eventualmente lo estropearรญa todo, y el factor sorpresa es realmente importante para la trama.
Aura es una FMC muy fuerte. A veces, puede ser muy cautelosa con su entorno, pero literalmente estรก pasando por muchas cosas y descubriendo secretos sobre ella y su familia que lo cambiarรกn todo. Ella crece constantemente a lo largo de la historia, haciรฉndose cargo de su situaciรณn actual.
A menudo me pregunto por quรฉ empiezo una serie sin terminar, pero en este caso la espera definitivamente vale la pena. Gritรฉ con ese final, asรญ que sรฉ que el libro 2 serรก buenรญsimo. Gracias, Loren, por la oportunidad de leer esto como un ARC.
